Week 13 is here! There are many players to talk about and a lot of question marks. Here is the list of all the players injured and my advice.
Kenny Golladay (Detroit Lions) – Another week, another game without Golladay. There might now be a worse situation than the Detroit Lions this week. Marvin Jones should have a decent game based on the opportunity as well as TJ Hockenson. Those are the only two I’m comfortable with.
Josh Jacobs (Las Vegas Raiders) – It’s a shame that this is the week that Jacobs will miss. The Raiders are playing the Jets this week which could be the most favorable matchup for an offensive player. Devontae Booker will replace Jacobs this week and instantly moves into the top 10 conversation for this week.
Jonnu Smith (Tennessee Titans) – Jonnu Smith will miss this week with a knee injury. Anthony Firkser will replace Smith as the TE1 and shouldn’t perform too badly. If you want to take a risk this week, pick up Firkser.
Mark Andrews (Baltimore Ravens) – Andrews tested positive with COVID and will miss this week and possibly next week as well.
James Conner (Pittsburgh Steelers) – Just like Andrew, Conner was placed on the COVID list after testing positive.
Nelson Agholor (Las Vegas Raiders) – Agholor has missed practice all week and is fully expected to miss this week. I would not take the risk with Agholor, but Henry Ruggs should step it up.
Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens) – Jackson can be available to be taken off the list this Sunday giving him two days max to get healthy. Its a small chance but still possible.
Daniel Jones (New York Giants) – Jones is doubtful with a hamstring injury. I fully expect the Giants to start Colt Mccoy this week. This will lower the value of players like Golden Tate and Darius Slayton. Sterling Shepard will still hold his value well.
Tua Tongavailoa (Miami Dolphins) – Tua has been dealing with an injury to his throwing hand and will be doubtful again this week. The smart move for the Dolphins would be to sit Tua for at least one more week. Ryan Fitzpatrick should be a solid stream this week and all the Dolphins players maintain their value.
De’Andre Swift (Detroit Lions) – Swift is dealing with an illness that has kept him out of practice for the last two days. If Swift does play, it will be in a limited fashion. Might want to look elsewhere if you can.
Allen Robinson (Chicago Bears) – Robinson suffered a knee injury mid-week in practice. He sat out Friday and will be a game-time decision. Luckily, Robinson plays in the early games and we should know before any games start. Robinson has the potential to be a top 5 receiver this week in a favorable matchup.
Phillip Lindsay (Denver Broncos) – Lindsay has been dealing with a knee injury all week and is questionable against the Chiefs. Even if Lindsay is healthy, I would not play him this week. I would even try to avoid Melvin Gordon.
Julio Jones (Atlanta Falcons) – Jones has been limited with a hamstring injury and is questionable this week vs the Saints. I would expect Jones to play as he has been dealing with injuries all season and he always turns up against the Saints.
Todd Gurley (Atlanta Falcons) – Todd Gurley is dealing with a knee problem and is truly questionable for this week. I would avoid this run game at all costs no matter who is starting.
Calvin Ridley (Atlanta Falcons) – Ridley is more on the probable side, we just haven’t had any news to convince us otherwise. Ridley will have a good game this week against the Saints.
Cam Newton (New England Patriots) – Honestly at this point he shouldn’t even be on a team, I would rather play Mitch Trubisky this week. However, if you are still a Newton believer, he is leaning more towards the probable side.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (Kansas City Chiefs) – Clyde has been dealing with a stomach bug that has kept him out of practice. These things usually only last for a day or two and Andy Reid stated that he believes Clyde will play. Leveon Bell will be the replacement if Clyde is out.
Jerry Jeudy (Denver Broncos) – He has been dealing with this same injury for weeks now and always ends up playing on game day. I expect Jeudy to play and see a lot of targets.
Sterling Shepard (New York Giants) – Shepard was limited in practice earlier this week but is expected to play. Shepard could have a decent game as he seems to be Colt Mccoy’s favorite target.
Zach Ertz (Philadelphia Eagles) – Ertz has been activated off of the IR (Injured Reserve) and is expected to play. I would recommend benching Ertz for another week and see his involvement. Dallas Goedert has been stepping it up recently.
Terry Mclaurin (Washington Football Team) – Terry is still dealing with that injury that he played through last week. I expect the same thing to happen. Mclaurin will have a tough matchup against the Steelers.
Miles Gaskin (Miami Dolphins) – Gaskin is expected to be taken off the IR this week and start against the Bengals. This is a favorable matchup and Gaskin is much needed in this injury-prone run game.
Here are players that were questionable mid-week, but will play:
JK Dobbins, David Johnson, DJ Chark, Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen, Chris Carson..
